Members of the Academy must maintain a high standard of conduct in order to appropriately serve the public within their jurisdictions. The standard of conduct set forth here provides basic principles for the exercise of public managerial responsibilities. By acceptance, members assume an obligation to the Academy and its purpose and agree to comply with its Constitution and Bylaws.

The Code of Ethics states that members shall:
