2005…

The New Year offers even more opportunities and promise for the Academy as follows:

  • One goal is to post the Academy Membership Directory (with user ID and password security protection) and the Academy SOP on the Academy Web Site.
  • The Academy hopes to add two new Member Societies (Iowa and Washington [State]) in 2005.
  • Final granting of Trademark protection of the Academy’s name is anticipated in early 2005. Once that approval is granted, the Academy will initiate efforts to obtain similar protection for the Academy logo.
  • The Academy Conference next year will be held in Manchester, New Hampshire. There are a number of firsts involved with this Conference as follows:
    • First Conference hosted in the “Granite State”
    • Northernmost location ever for an Academy Conference
    • First Conference held in Fall time in recent times
    • First Conference held in conjunction with the National Association of Governmental Trainers and Directors (NAGTAD)
    • 25th Anniversary Celebration of the beginnings of the CPM Program, hosted by the National CPM Consortium

As we look to the new year, each member of the Academy must continue to strive to meet our responsibility and professional duty to uphold the vision of our organization: “World class leaders and managers for the public sector.”
