A LOOK AT 2007

The New Year offers even more opportunities and promise for the Academy as follows:

    • The announcement of an enhanced Member Benefits package to include a travel discount program and discounts on various computer hardware and software programs is anticipated to be in place during the first quarter of 2007.

    • The Academy is hopeful of adding a new member society from the West and possibly one from the Central region of the country in 2007.

    • Final granting of Trademark protection for the Academy logo.

    • An enhanced AACPM web site, including specific “Members Only” benefits and links to make your Academy membership more meaningful.

    • The Academy Conference next year will be held in Madison, Wisconsin. This will be the first time that the Academy ventures to the Badger State, but attendees are in for an outstanding conference experience including presentations by the Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The Conference Opening Ceremonies will be held in the impressive Assembly Chamber of the beautiful State Capitol.

As we look to the new year, each and every member of the Academy must continue to strive to meet our responsibility and professional duty to uphold the vision of our organization: “World class leaders and managers for the public sector.” That vision is alive and carried forward by each and every Academy member as we perform our daily duties in serving the public and mentoring our peers.
