The 21st Annual Professional Development Conference in Florida was a wonderful time of learning and meeting with old and making new friends; but now Oklahoma holds the torch for the 22nd AACPM Conference.
October 17-19, 2010 are the dates for the next AACPM Conference. It will be held in beautiful downtown Oklahoma City and we want you here to experience what is quickly becoming a hot zone for mid-sized conferences.
Sessions for Monday and Tuesday will include topics that address the challenges of public management, the reality of budget issues, sustainability and green governing, plus sharpening skills for effective communication and quality service. There has been a lot of interest in joining us in Oklahoma and we are really excited to show you what we’ve got!! From start to finish, you will find a great combination of learning and fun. Our host hotel is in a prime downtown location; so be sure to get some rest BEFORE you arrive! Where else can you find a national memorial monument, a beautiful canal with safe walking paths, bountiful restaurants, art museums, entertainment, botanical gardens, NBA Basketball, shopping, Olympic sculling on the Oklahoma River, all within walking distance of our hotel and conference center?
We know you will want to spend some extra time in Oklahoma, or maybe bring the family, so we are ready to help you with ideas and options beyond the conference. Watch for updates and a chance to help create a great conference experience. Additional information will be shared in the next newsletter, through email events and soon at the www.aacpmconference.com web site. Until then, enjoy the highlights of the 2009 AACPM Conference.
