Society News

It’s a wonderful fall in Oklahoma and the members of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Managers® are busy. OSCPM held our state society conference September 9, 2005. Our theme this year was “Attaining New Heights, Management Alive in 2005.” We had great speakers such as Mark Hood, “If You Can Change Your Underwear, You Can Change Your Attitude”, Marilyn Hughes, “Carefully Putting One Foot in Front of the Other”, Norma Goff, CPM, “Making Performance Appraisal Work from the Base to the Summit”, G. Eric Gordon, “Getting What You Want”, Debra Hendricks, “Generations in the Workplace”, Pam Jennings, CPM, “Don’t Get Caught Hanging by a Thread”, Rhonda Godwin, “With the summit in Sight…” And Pearl Rovaris-MacDonald, “Light, Cameras, Reaction. Approximately 400 people attended the conference. Our Silent Auction, which raises funds for our society’s chosen charity, Angel Tree Project, raised over $1,500.00.

Shortly following our state conference many of our members attend the AACPM conference in New Hampshire. A big congratulation to the AACPM Board and our wonderful host the New Hampshire Association of Certified Public Managers® for an outstanding conference.

Please visit our website at www.OSCPM.org for more information and articles about the Oklahoma Society.

Happy Holiday from everyone at OSCPM.
