Treasurer’s Report – Nov/Dec 2005

As of October 31, 2005, the Academy has 1753 members, with all Societies reporting. The 2005 budget was in large part based on the Academy achieving 1800 members, however, the small shortfall in membership will not adversely affect the budget. AACPM membership increased about 50 members since the same time last year.

At the House of Delegates (HOD) meeting in Manchester, the HOD approved the final financial report for FY 2004. The HOD also approved the FY 2006 budget submitted by Finance Committee Chairman Bill Herman. The 2006 budget is perceived as a business-as-usual budget with some shifting of costs.

The final financial report from the annual conference in Manchester has not been certified as of November 1, however, it is known that the New Hampshire Conference had more receipts than disbursements. Final closeout is expected by the end of the year.

The Hurricane Relief Effort generated a total of $5,000.00 (including the $2,000 matching funds by the Academy) thanks to the generous contributions of individual members and Societies. These funds will be donated to the American Red Cross in New Hampshire on behalf of all Certified Public Managers®.

A reminder to Society Officers that the annual assessment fee invoices will be mailed to each Society in December. Societies should make every effort to remit their assessments by March 1.
