Summer has finally arrived here in New Hampshire! Twenty-three days out of 30 brought us rain and cool temperatures! The good news is, our air conditioners have not been running. And the bad news is, our pool and lake temperatures are still cold and not very enjoyable. With July now here, we’re finally starting to enjoy some summer-like weather!
On May 27, NHACPM hosted a free CPM tune-up for its members, current students, and past graduates. The response to the tune-up exceeded our expectations so we recruited more instructors and opened another classroom. Bob Christensen, one of our members, provided a very educational management presentation. Dennis Martino, our CPM Program Director, provided the location and instructors. As part of our commitment to give back to the CPM program, we are planning more free sessions.
We know our state is not the only one going through financial troubles. Training funds for education such as the CPM Program have been cut within our state agencies. We’re appreciative of everything our CPM Program Director is doing to work with past and future students as he continues to support the NHACPM and the CPM program.
Members participated in the fund raising event “Rock N Road Race for the Cancer Payson Center.” Their team shirt was the NHACPM shirt, which they proudly wore. One of our society goals is NHACPM visibility – we are meeting that goal by participating in community activities and programs such as the CPM tune-up.
We also have a new website – www.NHACPM.org - under construction and hope to have more information on it in a few weeks.
