In May, Howard Rasmussen of Florida regretfully resigned as Vice-Chair of the National CPM Consortium.
The Consortium Constitution states that, in the event of a vacancy in any office, the Executive Council shall appoint a replacement. During the last week of May, I nominated Imelda Roberts of the Metro Washington Council of Governments, to the Executive Council for its approval to fill the vacancy.
Imelda has been an At-Large member of the Executive Council and had currently been serving as Consortium Secretary.
By majority vote, the Council has appointed Imelda Roberts as Vice-Chair for the remainder of the 2004-2005 operating year. Imelda has also graciously agreed to continue to serve as Secretary for the 2005 Annual Meeting as well.
Please join me in welcoming Imelda as our new Vice Chair. I'm very grateful for her willingness to step up to these added responsibilities on the Consortium Executive Council.
Happy summer to all of you. Looking forward to seeing you in New Hampshire in the Fall.
