I want to share my travels since our last newsletter. I have had the opportunity to travel to both the great states of Ohio and Arkansas and participate in their graduation ceremonies. I also have plans to meet with the Washington D.C. Society in June when I am scheduled to attend a government conference. And I haven’t totally given up on figuring out how I can swing down a bit to the South so I can meet with the new Virginia Society. During the AACPM Board Meeting in January, we discussed ways to get the current board in direct contact with as many of our societies as possible during this year. President-elect Bill Herman also has meetings and graduations planned with the Wisconsin and Kentucky Societies, and hopefully with the Florida Society.

The opportunity to mix work and AACPM (when possible) has proven to be a very rewarding experience. President Gina Mee and the Ohio team invited me to participate in their business meeting and graduation ceremony. We visited the hotel site for the 2008 AACPM Conference. The hotel is not only large and stylish with plenty of meeting space; but the hotel staff demonstrated the importance of customer service for hosting our future AACPM conference. We then went on a whirlwind tour and reviewed three possible sites for evening events. Each venue was very inviting and it will be a difficult choice to select the final site(s). Of course I was little help, I indicated that I wanted to include all three and of course I can dream. I will tell you that I am looking forward to returning to Columbus and spending time not only at the conference, but at the places and with the people who make it famousMore >
