Treasurer’s Report

At the end of May, seventeen (17) Societies have reported 1,122 members. This puts the Academy at 65% of this year’s membership goal. At this time last year, the membership stood at 875 with eleven states reporting. Our appreciation goes out to the Societies for their efforts to get the annual fee and rosters in on time. Eighteen (18) Societies have paid their annual assessments.

With the Annual conference in Madison less than 90 days away, it is essential those Societies that have not reported their rosters to please do so as soon as possible. This will ensure the timely mailing of conference materials and keep the Academy’s database current. When reporting your membership roster, please use the pre-formatted spreadsheets that were distributed to each Member Society. If you require another copy, please contact Robinil Jameson, Board Member-at-Large for Member Affairs, or me.

The FY 2006 financial records are currently under review by the accounting firm Holcomb & Shreeve’s, CPAs, in Gilbert, AZ. The Independent Auditor’s Report is expected to be completed soon.

In closing, I would like to remind all members to use the Academy link to Amazon.com for their internet purchases. This is a great way to help raise funds as the Academy receives a 5% referral fee every time a person uses the link and makes a purchase.
