The Wisconsin Society of Certified Public Managers® is excited and anxious to see all of you at the 19th Annual AACPM Professional Development Conference in Madison. The Board and Conference Planning Committee have been busy planning and organizing the conference. We have put together a fantastic educational program with more than 16 public management related workshops and educational sessions. There is no better time to visit the State of Wisconsin than September. The weather will be great and we have some very special social events scheduled, which will give you an excellent taste of Wisconsin and provide unique networking opportunities. In the 12 years that I have been a member of AACPM, I have found that the annual conference is the best way to network and learn from other public managers.

Our society continues to develop and expand our relationship with the UW-CPM Program, which we feel enhances the program and the society. Our close relationship with the CPM program has lead to a sharp increase in our society memberships. The current Cohort Group of the program is working together with our society on the annual conference registration. Our Speakers Bureau program is a continued work in progress, that we feel will enhance public manager educational opportunities and assist with society members professional development.

I hope that all of you have a great summer and I am looking forward to seeing all of you in Madison this September.
