The American Academy of Certified Public Managers® (AACPM) provides annual scholarships to members who have pursued continued professional development while following a career in public management. In 1994, the Academy voted to name the existing scholarship program after Fran L. Wilkinson, the 1983 President of the Georgia CPM Society and the 1987 Chair of the National CPM Consortium, who died in 1990. The Wilkinson scholarships are awarded as a token of remembrance, affection, and esteem, and are intended “to promote a high professional, educational and ethical standard in public management,” one of the founding objectives of the AACPM.

Eligible members must complete the Scholarship application found on the following website: http://www.cpmacademy.org/wilk_Scholarship_Appl_2007.pdf and submit it to the Scholarship Award Committee, PO Box 53009, Oklahoma City, OK 73152-3009 prior to the August l5, 2007 deadline.

Barbara Taft, MSM, CPM, CPO is the Committee Chair. If you have any questions, she can be reached at (405) 525-2612 x3007, or by e-mail at btaft@octp.org.
