The Kentucky Society of Certified Public Managers® is proud to again serve as hosts for the Academy’s 18th Annual Professional Development Conference to be held in Louisville this September. The Conference committee has been working diligently in preparation for your coming to Kentucky. Conference activities will begin on Sunday, September 10 and conclude on Tuesday, September 12. The House of Delegates will meet on Wednesday morning, September 13.
The Galt House Hotel & Suites will again be headquarters for this event. Just 10 minutes from Louisville’s airport, this facility has just completed a multi-million dollar renovation of all sleeping and meeting rooms and public spaces. As the only hotel on the waterfront, the 25-story Galt House offers magnificent views of the Ohio River and downtown Louisville.
Keynote speakers for the Conference will be Sylvia Lovely, CEO of the Kentucky Leagues of Cities; Imelda Roberts, current Chair of the National CPM Consortium; and Silver Rose, nationally known as the “Practical Motivator”. In addition, we have 16 concurrent sessions over the two days covering a wide variety of topics.
Don’t forget about our special activity – a Monday evening cruise on the historic steamboat, the Belle of Louisville. Docked at the river wharf just below our Conference hotel, this dinner cruise will feature a buffet meal providing the opportunity to mingle with your fellow Academy members. And, we’ll be back on shore in plenty of time for those who want to sample the nightlife at Fourth Street Live!
Remember - mark your calendars for September 10-12 and make plans to attend. Registration information will be available on the Academy website www.cpmacademy.org during May. We look forward to seeing you in Louisville!
