Ohio CPM program still going. . .and growing!

With 11 cohorts active across the state and an estimated 190 active student participants, the Ohio Certified Public Manager program is certainly maintaining momentum. Two new cohorts began in April – one in the southeast region and one in the northwest region. The OCPM Society was represented at both orientation events and information was shared about the program experience and the benefits of society membership. Program alumni numbers are continuously on the rise, with 287 graduates to date. The society is continuing to seek ways to better serve this target group and improve membership.

As the AACPM deadline for Askew Award entries draws close, several exemplary projects are being assessed around the state. Project recommendations will be made from the site managers, and the society will partner in the selection process.

In other news, the OCPM Advisory Board and the OCPM Society are working together to develop a new scholarship fund in honor of Della Honnicut, a Cohort 20 member who sadly passed away earlier this year. A scholarship committee is currently being established to work out the details.
