Doris Anderson, Becky Bryant, and Emma Lay attended the Arkansas Public Administration Consortium (APAC) Graduation ceremonies at the Arkansas State Capitol on May 8th. APAC presented eleven (11) Arkansas Governmental Manager (AGM) graduate certificates, eight (8) Certified Public Manager® (CPM) graduate certificates, and twenty-two (22) Certified Volunteer Manager (CVM) graduate certificates. Two people received both AGM and CPM certificates.
There was excellent attendance at the graduation. Many co-workers, supervisors, and family members attended and demonstrated their support of the graduates.
Department of Human Services Director John Selig was the keynote speaker, and he is a committed supporter of the CPM Program. The best project award was presented to Romany Brooks (Department of Information Systems), and the honorable mention project award went to Jeff Rea (DHS).
Becky Bryant addressed the graduates on behalf of AACPM, and Doris Anderson gave brief comments on behalf of ASCPM.
Each AGM and/or CPM graduate received a congratulatory packet from ASCPM, which included a letter of congratulations, an ASCPM Membership Form, a summary sheet containing information about the CPM Program and ASCPM (the Arkansas alumni association), and membership brochures for ASCPM and AACPM.
A copy of the APAC Graduation Program is posted on our society website at

The ASCPM quarterly Board Meeting was on May 15th. The next quarterly membership meeting will be held June 5th.
