During March and April, the Idaho Society of Certified Public Managers® (ISCPM) welcomed Mark Carpenter and Darrell Harmon of PeopleSmart Solutions who presented information on “Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes Are High” in Blackfoot, Boise and Coeur d’Alene. The discussions focused on addressing tough situations we often face in the workplace during critical moments that require our best performance, while also avoiding emotional reactions that drive us away from the results we want most.

Additionally, the ISCPM board has recently experienced changes in board members. Sharon Pilkinton, who served on the board for the past year and a half as Secretary, has resigned her position on the board and has been replaced by Martin Chaney of the Department of Transportation. Stacy Jones, who also served on the board for the past year and a half, has resigned her position as President-Elect. Her replacement is Deborah Woolery. Deborah has been serving as Treasurer, so that position is being filled for the remainder of this year by Kristine Gambee. We’ll miss Sharon and Stacy, but we welcome Martin and Kristine to the board.
