INCOMING NATIONAL CPM CONSORTIUM COUNCIL for 2004-05 gathers in Topeka, Kansas. From left to right are: Lesly Lloyd, CPM, MS, Member At Large; Norma Ford, USDA, Member At Large; Jack Lemons, Consortium Administrator; Sandra Hanson, CPM, AR, Past Chair; Charles Phelps, OH, Member At Large; Terri Widick, KS, Member At Large; Howard Rasamussen, FL, Vice Chair; Imelda Roberts, MW CoG, Secretary; James West, UT, Member At Large; and Robbi Dreifuerst, WI, Chair
As 2003-04 Consortium Vice-Chair I had the pleasure of setting up the Continuing Accreditation Committees for the Kentucky, New Jersey and Utah programs. The committees are to be commended for the time and effort they gave to the accreditation review process. At the Annual Meeting in Topeka, each program was officially reaccredited with the enthusiastic recommendation of its Committee chair. The Consortium especially appreciates the work of the following CPM's who served on committees this past year: Richard Blake, Bill Herman, Greg Hyland, and Kay Rogers. Thank you!

And our sincere appreciation to Sandy Hanson who served as Consortium Chair in 2003-04. Sandy has taken another position at the University of Arkansas and is no longer affiliated with the Arkansas CPM Program. We will miss her!
The coming year will be a time of transition for the Consortium as we change our meeting schedule to coincide with the AACPM's move to a fall conference. At our meeting in Topeka, the Board determined that the necessary work of an Annual Meeting can be accomplished at the November midyear meeting as well as through the use of electronic meetings and voting if needed. So, to Howard Rasmussen's chagrin, I believe I will be the first chair in Consortium history to not preside at an annual meeting. But, I look forward to leading the Consortium midyear meeting in Louisville, as well as attending the Spring 2005 midyear meeting the AACPM is planning.
Finally, I am especially pleased to be serving as Chair during the last half of the AACPM Presidency of my friend and colleague, Ron Buchholz. I believe that's another "first"—the chair/president of both organizations hailing from the same state! Brats & cheese for everyone!!
