Conferences & Communications
By Greg Hyland, CPM

As was mentioned earlier in this edition, time is running out for registration to the 2006 AACPM Professional Development Conference to be held in beautiful downtown Louisville. Don’t forget, this year’s theme is “The New Realities – A Decade Later 1996 - 2006” and we’re revisiting the site of the 1996 Conference – The Galt House. For those of you that have never been to a Conference, this is your chance to meet and share ideas with your fellow CPMs; for those of you that haven’t been to a conference for a while, it’s time to renew those acquaintances and see old friends and make some new ones. Perhaps we can even convince Tom Patterson to entertain us on the piano as he has at past conferences.
On the communication front, I hope you enjoy this edition of the CPM Connection. With each edition we try to add more and more pertinent information. If there’s something missing or you have an idea for an article, send it in to me and we’ll get it included. If your Society information is missing, contact your Society President and have them submit an article. The CPM Connection is published quarterly and is available electronically to all Academy members via our website www.cpmacademy.org. Just in case you’re interested in submitting an article, here are the deadlines for the final edition of 2006 and the 2007 editions.
Article deadlines:
- October 20, 2006
- January 25, 2007
- April 19, 2007
- July 13, 2007
- October 18, 2007
If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or criticism, please contact me. My telephone numbers are (928) 373-5023 – office, (928) 580-4751 – cell or I can be reached by e-mail at Greg.Hyland@ci.yuma.az.us. Just one thing to remember, Arizona doesn’t change with daylight savings time, so right now we’re the same as California (3 hours behind the East coast). |
