Save the Date – Florida 2009
Planning for the 21st Annual Professional Development Conference is revving up! Ready to engage all engines for a successful take off, the Florida coordinating team has been meeting monthly and making preliminary plans to make this mission ready for additional crew members. Society members throughout Florida have been supportive and excited about hosting this event. The theme and logo featured above reflect the focus of the conference. 21st Century challenges in public management are multi-faceted, and technology plays a big role in how our jobs will be enhanced, or evolve. The reality of budget issues, security, effective communication and quality service will be part of the “reality check” you can expect in September 2009. The Call for Presenters was sent out the beginning of June to speakers who have been recommended by our members. We have received several proposals with some great topics. We have discussed the importance of sponsorship and are preparing the information packets. Speaker expenses and sponsor levels will both affect our budget which is also being developed. And … we are getting ready for our presentation at the end of the conference in Ohio!! Make plans to be in Orlando September 20 – 23, 2009! |
