President’s Message Continued…

A special “thank you” to David Brown for traveling with me. We braved Texas’ worst snowstorm ever going to San Marcos and the dense, unending fog on the return trip to OKC!

With Steve Mastro representing us, AACPM added the National Capital Region (NCR) Society of Certified Public Managers® to our ranks. Steve presented the society’s charter in one of the worst snowstorms in District of Columbia history! The NCR includes graduates from the DC Certified Public Manager® Program, the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments CPM Program, and the Graduate School, USDA CPM Program.

I will attend the mid-year meeting of the National Certified Public Manager® Consortium in San Jose, California, next month. The Consortium offers AACPM a “seat at the table” at its mid-year and annual meetings. This allows us to share information and offer input to state programs.
