AACPM Professional Development Conference
You won’t want to miss this one! The 2011 annual conference of the American Academy of Certified Public Managers® will convene in beautiful downtown Salt Lake City. Mark your calendars for October 8-12, 2011, and be prepared to take your professional skills to the next level while enjoying the conference of a lifetime. Elevate your mind, body and spirit; join with old friends and new colleagues; brush up on skills; and learn new techniques.
Salt Lake City is nestled at the base of the Wasatch Mountains and the views are inspiring. The autumn weather in Salt Lake is ideal. Nearby canyons are filled with vibrant colors. Temperature averages for early October are 67/45° high/low.
Our downtown venue is only 10 minutes from the Salt Lake International Airport. Once downtown, you’ll have free access to public transportation in the downtown area and will be close to shopping, theater, sports, recreation, movies, restaurants and micro breweries and oh yes, religious and cultural venues galore.
There will be a number of fun group activities and some time to explore on your own. Mountain ski resorts are only a half hour drive away. With Oktoberfest at Snowbird and many fun activities at Park City, there is something for everyone! Beautiful southern Utah has world-class destinations like Moab, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, etc., that are as close as three hours away.
We hope you can join us at the crossroads of the west high in the Rocky Mountains for what promises to be a fabulous conference as we take our leadership and management skills to a higher level. Stay tuned for more information as the conference date approaches. See you in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2011! Please contact Keith Heaton with any questions at 801-538-8732.
