New Hamsphire Association of Certified Public Managers®

The weather is much better in these northern parts this time of year. We have watched eagerly as the fresh, new leaves bud and unfurl. Lilacs will bloom soon, filling the landscape with their springtime color and the air with their lovely aroma. Life is good and I can’t wait!
The New Hampshire Association of Certified Public Managers® (NHACPM), 33 members strong, is giving back to its membership by hosting a no-fee “Leadership Tune-Up” on May 27 with our CPM program partner, the NH Bureau of Education. We will provide speaker support and a continental breakfast for participants. Two of our officers will conduct a breakout session. The slots filled up within the first few days of opening registration but a plan was established to add enough seats for those on the waiting list. What a fantastic and exciting problem to have!
NHACPM is also striving to demonstrate community involvement. We are supporting a group of our member volunteers in the 5K race for the Payson Cancer Center. Our members will be proudly sporting NHACPM shirts.
New Hampshire State and Municipalities continue to have major budget issues with cuts happening everywhere. Travel is frozen for all organizations. Our members have been busy writing letters and calling legislators about proposed cuts in positions and vital programs. The tough times are surely here and will test us all.
