The Idaho Society of Certified Public Managers® (ISCPM) Fall Conference and Annual Meeting were held on November 13, 2008. Michael Kroth, Ph.D., author of The Manager as Motivator presented "Creating Passionate Work Environments." Elections for 2009 were held during the Annual Meeting, and By-Laws and Strategic Plan, which were updated this past spring, were considered for approval.

ISCPM delegates who attended the AACPM Professional Development Conference on September 7-9 in Columbus, Ohio were Reva Tisdale, Janice Foster and Shelley Keen. Shelley received the Askew Award for his project. This year's conference was outstanding and we would encourage everyone to try to attend the 2009 conference in Orlando, Florida September 20-22, 2009.

Work has begun in preparation for hosting the 2013 AACPM conference. We are currently reviewing venues, with the expectation to sign a contract this year. This will be an extensive and rewarding experience for our Society.

New information is being posted to the ISCPM Web site as it becomes available at http://iscpm.org. The board has approved the posting of board meeting minutes and agendas to the site in the news section. We encourage members to visit the site regularly to access information on the society's activities and read about our projects.
