Treasurer's Report
By Larry Gordon, CPM

As the fiscal year draws to a close, the Academy's membership drive for 2008 achieved a total of 1,520 members, with all 19 active Member Societies reporting. This represents 95% of the goal set at last year’s HOD meeting in Madison, Wisconsin. Societies are asked to submit any roster changes as soon as possible.
The Academy's FY 2008 HOD approved budget was set at $32,575.00. At the time of this writing, the YTD revenues vs. expenditures are $32,556.68 and $30,557.16, respectively. The Ohio Conference Committee is finalizing its conference closeout report and preliminary figures indicate the conference will be a "break-even" event. The Academy has received reimbursement for the conference advance and insurance costs.
The Academy's FY 2007 financial records were reviewed by the accounting firm of Holcomb & Shreeve, CPA's, in Gilbert, AZ. The annual Independent Auditor's Review Opinion Letter stated that "based on our reviews we are not aware of any material modifications that should be made to the accompanying financial statements in order for them to be in conformity with the accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America."
The holiday season is upon us so I’d like to remind all members (and their families and friends), to use the Academy's link to Amazon.com for their Internet purchases. This is a great opportunity to help raise funds as the Academy receives a 5% referral fee every time a purchase is made through the link button. The link button is located on the www.cpmacademy.org home page on the left side near the bottom.
