The President’s Award is intended to
recognize and publicly celebrate an
inidividual’s service, accomplishments and
status as an informal leader among the members
of the American
Academy.
Criteria for the President’s
Award include the awardee materially improved
the Academy program(s) or initiative(s) on
behalf of the membership and in consultation
with the AACPM Board of Directors; volunteered
as a member, not as an elected Academy officer
or board member; demonstrated leadership and
communicated effectively with all interested
parties; and sustained focus and energy over at
least a two year period.

2007 PRESIDENT’S AWARD
PRESENTED TO STEPHEN J. MASTRO, CPM
A public sector
manager, formerly from North Carolina and now
residing in California, was recognized for
“exemplary service, significant contributions
and accomplishments” by the American Academy of
Certified Public Managers® (AACPM) during the
Annual Awards Banquet held in Madison, Wisconsin
in September.
Stephen J. Mastro, CPM of Petaluma,
California was named the recipient of the 2007
AACPM President’s Award by AACPM President Ron
Buchholz, CPM of Wisconsin. (
